Terms of Service

Welcome to ReviewSnap. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ReviewSnap (the "Service"), currently offered as a private beta. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What ReviewSnap Does

ReviewSnap lets you search for a business's Google Business Profile, select one of its existing public Google reviews, and generate a styled image of that review for sharing on social media. Business and review data is retrieved live from Google's Places API at the time of your request; ReviewSnap does not independently collect or verify this data.

2. Who Can Use ReviewSnap

ReviewSnap is intended for use by business owners and individuals authorized to represent a business (e.g., an employee, marketing contractor, or agency acting on the business's behalf).

By using the Service to generate an image for a given business, you represent and warrant that you are the owner of that business, or are otherwise authorized to act on its behalf for marketing and promotional purposes. ReviewSnap does not verify Google Business Profile ownership before allowing a search, and you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use a given business's reviews in this way.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate images for a business you do not own or represent, for purposes of impersonation, harassment, or misrepresentation
• Misrepresent the source, authenticity, or context of a review or rating displayed via the Service
• Attempt to circumvent the Service's usage limits (see Section 4), including by clearing cookies, using multiple devices/IP addresses, or other means designed to evade rate-limiting
• Use automated means (scripts, bots, scrapers) to access the Service outside of normal, individual, interactive use
• Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Service's infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any use that violates these Terms.

4. Usage Limits

The free tier of the Service currently limits the number of images you may download and copy within a rolling 30-day period, and applies reasonable rate limits to business search and lookup requests to prevent abuse and excessive automated use. We use a device cookie and a hashed IP-address check to enforce these limits; see our Privacy Policy for details on how this works. We may change these limits, introduce paid tiers, or otherwise modify the Service's feature set at any time.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

a) Google-sourced content

Business names, ratings, and review text/author names displayed and rendered by the Service are sourced from Google's Places API and remain the property of their respective owners (the business, the reviewer, and/or Google, as applicable). ReviewSnap does not claim ownership of this content. Exported images include a "via Google" attribution as required by Google's API terms — this is a compliance requirement, not a partnership or endorsement claim, and ReviewSnap is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google.

b) The generated image file

Subject to the rights of the underlying review content described above, you're free to use, post, and share the images you generate through the Service for your business's ordinary marketing purposes. ReviewSnap does not retain a copy of images you generate once they're delivered to you.

c) ReviewSnap's own branding

The ReviewSnap name, logo, and product design are the property of ReviewSnap and may not be used without permission, apart from their appearance within images the Service generates for you.

6. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," especially given its current private-beta status. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

• The accuracy, completeness, or availability of business/review data retrieved from Google
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service
• That the Service will meet your specific requirements

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReviewSnap and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages arising from your use of a business's reviews without proper authorization to do so. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

8. Third-Party Terms

Your use of the Service is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service, which govern use of Places API data. ReviewSnap is a separate product from Google and is not responsible for Google's services, data accuracy, or policies.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or for any other reason, including discontinuation of the Service itself (as this is currently a private beta).

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the Service evolves. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict of law principles, and any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Marion County, Indiana.
